Chat2Chart is the AI assistant that simplifies plotting, running statistical analysis and getting answers to complex questions within a few seconds. The goal of the project was to answer one question: "How do I chat with my tables?" Chat2Chart uses an AI agent that understands the users question, breaks it down into simpler steps, executes code needed to summarize the tabular data and answers the user queries. The user can request for a specific type of chart( line, bar, scatter etc.) or the user could ask for an explanation about the data and the assistant will be happy to help out in any way it can. We decided to use the Cursor AI tool powered by Claude 3.5 Sonnet to boost our development. We relied on the tool to help us with standard tasks such debugging , modifying existing code to meet our requirements and more leading to a rapid prototype.
